North Wales Community Law is an independent charity providing free, expert legal advice on housing matters
Who are North Wales Community Law?
North Wales Community Law is an independent charity based in Llandudno Junction, serving people across North Wales.
Our mission is to help individuals and communities access justice, challenge inequality and unfair treatment, and make sure everyone in North Wales has a chance to live with dignity, stability and security.
We aim to make legal advice accessible and free for local people, especially those who might not be able to afford a private solicitor.
What we can help with:
Housing Law Advice & Support
At present, NWCL is offering advice only on housing-related legal issues.
We help tenants across North Wales who are on low incomes or otherwise unable to access a private solicitor. For many of these tenants, our work is funded under a legal aid contract — meaning that if you qualify, you may receive full legal advice or representation without cost.
Typical situations we can help with
- If you are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
- If your landlord is failing to carry out essential repairs — for example damp, leaks, or serious disrepair
- If you are facing eviction or possession proceedings
- If your housing situation fails to meet your or your family’s needs — and you need help asserting your rights
All of our advice is free to those who need it
We have staff fluent in both English and Welsh.
